Myth of Delusion came out of some jam sessions between two brothers in a friends dark, stinky, hot, dirty garage. Some material stuck, and suddenly we had songs. "Beyond Slaughter" was the first piece we wrote. Friends seemed to like it. We had fun making it. So we just started writing songs as a hobby over the weekend instead of just jamming for fun. We wrote about a song a month, totaling to 6 songs. After that we pretty much stopped playing completely. Then one day, about 5 months later we were told that somebody wanted to record our material. So we did a quick rehearsal and went through our songs. The following day we went to the studio to check it out. Next thing you know we are recording. It was pretty crazy. We discussed our situation and decided to give the band thing a shot and do a couple of shows. So we opened up the myspace, then the reverbnation page and now here we are in search of a talented singer and possibly a second guitarist.

We are along the lines of metal. We don't want to do deathmetal, grindcore, or anything like that. There is enough of these types of genres out there. We want to stick more to a modern groovemetal, aggresive thrash type of sound. We are influenced by all types of metal. We feel the key is brutality, energy, and exciting time changes and multiple parts. Opposed to your typical wash, rinse and repeat, radio music. There has to be a hook. There has to be aggresive pit parts, headbanging breakdowns, and surprising changes. We want people to remember our music. You should want to jump around, bang your head and punch somebody in the face all in one song. All these things are important to us. Almost any band can sound brutal or play fast, but many bands forget the importance of groove and complex song structure. We put alot of work into making our songs great. We don't ever really come in and just produce songs like a factory.

Since the recent acquisition of a bass player, our songs have taken on a whole new dimension. You will find that our bass player is not your typical metal bassist and really helps to add the uniqueness and originality you'd expect from Myth of Delusion. We are still in search for the right vocalist. This has been an on going problem. We have decided to go play shows anyway and maybe that will help us in locking down the perfect vocalist. Also, we are still thinking about possibly having a second guitarist join us, to help achieve that sound that only two guitarists could bring.
