“Jack Montgomery's Watersprite had the honor of personally meeting and hearing Murphey's Midnight Rounders perform in late June 2011 at a festival near Chicago. They are fabulous! The evocative melodies and thoughtful lyrics, along with Brad's excellent guitar and banjo, are complemented by Teresa's guitar, bodhran and other percussion. Brad, Teresa and Bonnie weave magic with their complex harmonies. We particularly love their well-known song, "I am the Goddess," on the CD of the same name. The heartfelt presentation and intricate rhythms are a good representation of the body of music published by this solid and innovative "power folk" band, and we were very happy to hear that Murphey's Midnight Rounders have recently gone back into the studio! We're looking forward to their new CD!
Best wishes from your friends in music,
Jack and Lesley Montgomery of the folk/Celtic Fusion band, Watersprite
