Morgan Kraft was born in Seattle, WA. He was raised in Laramie, Wyoming where he played bass in local jazz combos and rock bands. He studied music composition at conservatory in North Carolina from 1992-1997, and performed with numerous rock outfits in Boston and Northampton, MA between 1998 and 2004. Currently he lives in New York City where he plays fretless guitar in the instrumental group The Kraft Quartet and the blues band Jumpin' Salty. Other than performing and recording as a guitarist, Morgan also runs the independent record label Microearth Records and works occasionally as a freelance engineer.
