Press

“This local band is Brian Obernesser and Logan Tabor. Essentially a duo in the studio, they invite other musicians to bring their material to life for live performances. Their moniker is quite apropos given the output’s vibe. Songs could be described as experimental indie rock but it lands much further outside of the genre of rock music. It’s tempered and fraught by design – music with context insomuch that the songs seem constructed to specifically exhibit emotion. The material found on the group’s Reverbnation page is rhythmic and melodic, elegantly matching a smattering of emotions whether in the vocals or instrumentation. Mood Mechanics’ music is haunting and uplifting. Casual as the music may sound initially, it is built upon layers of sounds, creating a deceptive simplicity.”

Q: Any plans to add other permanent members to the band anytime soon, or staying a trio henceforth?

A: The trio is merely the "writing team" so to speak. The band is presently performing as a five piece without a drummer and using backing tracks for drums. Our goal is to have a live drummer eventually, so if you know anyone...let us know!
