I was walking all alone last Sunday
Down a long and quiet road
Trees were blowing softly with the wind
Made me think of younger days
When I was bolder than I am now

I‘ve had my share of hard times
Struggled long, yet I have found my peace
I’ve come to realize that I am only a part of
A world that so wild and sweet ---I wanna run free

It’s the simple things . . . It’s the simple life
That makes the world a better place to be

Still I often feel lost in a dream
Wishing I could be somewhere else
It’s not that I am unhappy with my life
I just wish that I could make some sense of it all
This crazy world

I have loved and I have surely lost
I have grown and yet still I need to learn more
Life is always changing right before my eyes
Everybody has a story to tell
Everybody has a story to sell
