This year's theme is Rooted Living! The WEF is a FREE huge, eco-friendly three-day music, art, and education festival which takes place on the UC Davis campus annually during Mother’s Day Weekend. A multitude of people dedicated to sustainable living and environmental harmony flock to Davis for the festival. During the weekend, the UC Davis quad area is lined with arts & crafts tents, music acts, massage tables, food and a child care area. Various workshops occur as well. Typical highlights include: » 3 stages with 50+ bands & 20+ dance acts » 50+ education and sustainability workshops » 100+ craft and service vendors » Many food vendors selling yummy vegetarian food » Fire dancing at night at Promethean Fire Stage » Group yoga and meditation sessions » Outdoor art gallery with interactive installations » Great vibes, great people, great weekend! To ensure the festival runs smoothly over the course of the weekend, we rely on Karma Patrollers (volunteers). KPers receive a free shirt and a meal for every shift they volunteer for. If you're interested in signing up, you can do so at: http://wef.ucdavis.edu/volunteer/ Deadlines to apply to be a part of the festival are quickly approaching!
