Sacha got into computers way after playing with instruments for over 10 years. Was introduced to Cakewalk, Reason and Abelton Live and begun to learn the art of sequencing and non destructive editing.
About
Music has always been a part of his life. Sacha Abadi, known as Mc Special S aka Dj Moe-tee was a self proclaimed breaker at 9 years old rolling wiht Adnan & Kaiis and was turned on to the hip-hop way of life by Herbie Hancok's Rock It. By 14, he was scratching on his friends turntable using "Pump up the Volume" by Mars. While being a little downtown prep, with a hint of hip-hopism, he always had that 4/4 time signature in him. Wrote his first rhym at 15 years old dedicated to his ex, dissing her for dumping him for his best friend. Rythm And Poetry...RAP
All the real fun began in his garage in V.S.L-Montreal-Quebec-Canada his my boy Chris Vaughan (lead & rythm guitar), and Steve Davis (rythm guitar and vocals), and as such , they where called "The Skanks" 1990 - To this day they all somehow find the time to jam it up. Meanwhile, hid younger brother, Derrick Abadi (Dj symmetry) was turned on to Jungle & Drum 'n' bass partly because of the loud drumming in the garage, which in turn turned Sacha on to the DnB/Jungle sound. He always loved dance hall, and to him it seemed like the natural next level to its respective sound. Several years later both Derrick and Sacha got into computers, and soon after where introduced Cakewalk. The magic of sequencing and non destructive editing. And that's where their foundation begun as to making beats and later on full track arrangements.
Almost 10 years later him and his friend launched a internet based radio show named the420show From Rock to metal, folk to hip-hop, they where pretty much like our Montreal's CHOM 97.7 FM, but with a slight twist. Thanks to Spanky D, Sacha began to develop his own hosting/Mc skills which has lead him to be where
he is today. The 420 show is now fully geared towards DnB and Jungle due to the fact that Sacha was invited to join and direct along with Marc Dancereau aka Dj Bass-Ic the DnB chanel over at www.techno.fm by Gilles Mogeon aka Dj Doc Funk. Thanks to Dr.Gonzo from Scotland & one of Montreal's DnB pioneers, an artist known as Nitrous, they took the for-front of a Jungle/DnB show and continued with called "the420show". Every Wednesday nights from 8pm to 10pm on the LIVE channel - Thanks to both Dj Kensai & Nitrous , Special S was thrown in the mix !! And by finally stepping up up to the decks.. he defined himself as Dj Moe-Tee, as in "would you lOike sum mo'tea"
Nitrous n Moe-Tee have launched a couple of tracks together which then lead to launching http://www.indajunglerecording.com with a select few others such as Kensai, Scandal & Nic & Arina - A online MP3 shop where anyone with any production skills could send in their track to then have 'em up for sale. Sacha joined Montreal's ::Neurotik Sound System Crew:: bringing a voice with his mica DnB feel to a full Hard-tech crew!
