“A Four20 Jamboree featuring performances by 13 acts takes place Wednesday, April 20, at the Vault in Bay City. Genres represented include rock, blues, rap and more. The event, sponsored by Mitten Bay Music, begins at 4:20 p.m. Rob Gillies, member of the National Organization for the Reformation of Marijuana Laws, will help emcee the event. Professional photographer Kara Bingham of Aligned Designs will be taking pictures for any band that would like one. Admission is free. The Vault is at 505 E. Midland St. ”

“(Paul)Vought meets with a local group each month with the goal of bringing musicians, promoters and the media together to promote the local live music scene. As a member of local rock band Big Tuna, an original alternative rock band, he and his bandmates are working on a debut CD. The group will be on stage for City Fest. ”

“Art and music will be coming to the Port Huron riverfront this weekend. Quay Street will be closed for the event, and a stage will be set up in the parking lot of Zebra Bar for more than 10 local bands to perform during the weekend. Performing on Quay Street throughout the weekend will be aerialist Jessica Reynolds spinning and contorting on large silk ribbons. The event opens at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the first band set to perform at noon. The New Horizons Band, the Motor City Rebels and Static Groove will play the festival through the afternoon. At 5 p.m. the headlining band for Art on the River -- The Orbitsuns -- will take the stage. Big Tuna, the Gypsy Pin Ups and Rattletrap will follow. Fire-eater Chantal Omo Ochun will entertain crowds from 9 p.m. until the festival closes at 10 p.m. Saturday. Sunday, the festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bands will be rotating hourly on the outdoor stage near the Zebra Bar, beginning at 11 a.m. ”
