"Oh, man, I was in for a cool surprise. These guys totally rock out and are tasteful. The first song I listened to Mark Afraid to Fly on Reverbnation totally got me immediately. "
“Minor Nine had better not be claustrophobic or have personal boundaries. If you are a dedicated faithful fan of theirs, you’ll bang your head during their entire set, and maybe in ways you had never done, and know every word to every song and naturally sing with them, making a peanut gallery of backup vocals their “older” songs will never grow old, and you’ll love them so much you’ll be bowing low to them. And with apologies to country music, “…and the crowd goes wild.””
“Minor Nine is an up and coming alternative rock band from my own hometown, Knoxville, TN. I love, love, love this band, and no, I'm not being biased. Their style represents music that comes from the heart. The vocals are soulful and beautiful, if not a bit haunting while the guitar, bass and drums provide the perfect backdrop. You can hear the talent in each element and while many of the tracks appear somewhat simple on the surface, as you listen, you can hear a delicate mingling of sounds that ultimately layer into something more complex. It's pretty incredible. While many of Minor Nine's tracks stick to a more ballad-like melody, it's no reflection on their ability to rock. The track Fading Light proves that point well. This band has what it takes to go straight to the top.”
