[Matt Aiudi a.k.a. Mindstorm] became interested in DrumnBass at the age of 12 after listening to the album "New Forms" from Roni Size & Reprazent. Being a bassplayer heavily influenced by jazz music, the basslines on the track "Brown Paper Bag" matched with the drums were all he needed to hear to know that this was his kind of music and that he needed to know more about it. Through countless hours of listening to his favorite dj's and producer's styles and approaches to the genre he was crafting his own style along the way steadily producing track after track in his home studio for a number of years. Having very little knowledge of how to use the various programs that were available at the time, Matt decided instead to take a keyboard/analog driven approach to his music-making and quickly built up an arsenal of production equipment. This allowed him to use his knowledge of the piano, which he had picked up at a younger age, and still continue developing his love for the bass guitar. Now at age 21, with almost 9 years of experience as a DrumnBass, Jungle, and Hip-Hop producer, his ability to play a number of acoustic, digital, and analog instruments, and clever use of sampling, he strive's to bring a unique sound to the DnB arena. Matt has also recently launched his record label Mindstorm Records in his efforts to aid the scene and to produce quality music in the years to come.

With a strict recording schedule involving little or no sleep and over 100 unsigned original tracks already under his belt you can be sure to see him in more and more places as time goes on. Being a true perfectionist at heart he sometimes spends hours on just a 5-10 second part believing in the saying "quality over quantity" and unconditionally applying it to the music he produces. Matt's other projects include recording and producing a wide-range of music for other artist's albums. He also contributes music for various commercials and tv spots.

"Dark Future Music" is his new album and is set for release in the near future. It's a concept album featuring 14 original tracks from Mindstorm and will be available on cd/vinyl through his label Mindstorm Records. Check back for updates.
