“2007 hat Michael Powers zuletzt etwas von sich hören lassen. Zumindest, was ein Album angeht. Nach Prodigal Song folgt nun "Revolutionary Boogie". Abermals mischt Powers unter seine dreizehn Song-Karten Eigenkompositionen als auch Coverversionen. Der mehrfach bei den Blues Music Awards Nominierte hat sich mit vielen Musikern zusammengetan, die auf einem vergleichbaren Niveau spielen. Bei "Revolutionary Boogie" legte Powers an vielen Stellen Wert auf einen zusätzlichen Einsatz von Percussion-Instrumenten. Einerseits ist es Topsy M. Durham, andererseits gibt Charlie Torres (auch am Bass aktiv) einigen Tracks die zusätzliche Würze. Wie pfeffrig das sein kann, zeigt die Lesung von Elmore James' "Shake Your Money Maker". Hier sorgt allerdings Miguel Sobel als ein weiterer Handtrommler für Verzücken. nsgesamt hat Michael Powers mit "Revolutionary Boogie" einen würdigen Nachfolger für "Prodigal Son" eingespielt. Q: aloha Michael.. Alanamana from Mana'o Radio and Maui Underground. We are trying figure how this Music for Good Charity works? they don't seem to have any info and was hoping you can maybe help us?

A: Somewhere (about a month ago) in my "Reverb Bank", I was asked if I wanted a % of my Reverb earnings to go to a charity, I think there were 3 to choose from. I said yes. I don't make much on here so I haven't investigated if I've actually contributed anything (yet). Best if you ask Reverb about this...
