More About The Artist
Most of Michaels songs involve love and relationships but some songs are about a search for enlightenment. Some listeners have referred to these songs as mystical rock (The Trek, in CD: Nothing Seems Like What It Seems). Other song themes include: war (Mid Moss-Covered Boulders, in CD: Our Unwinding Time), youth vs. age (Young Old Man, Nothing Seems Like What It Seems), and the environment (EarthSong, also in Nothing Seems...). Some songs contain backwards music (All Reversed, in CD: Aboriginal Angel) and one song features the didgeridoo as a lead instrument (Aboriginal Angel, in same CD).
Michael earns his living as an educator and on the side enjoys the craft of Venetian-style glass-blowing. Some of his glass creations appear on the covers of his albums.
