Ask Michael Cannady anything...
Q: Hi Michael, firstly, congratulations on your chart status, quality songs & great musicianship. Are you able to share the secrets of your drum sounds with us here on RN?
A: Wow.. definitely flattered here (grin)..Please note: I acknowledge that my drum tracks aren't my 'strongest suit', but I am trying to better my efforts.. The drum tracks were obviously not produced "live", rather I used a program called 'Session Drummer'. This is a Midi based program that uses midi commands to drive audio samples of actual drum sounds. Each 'swing of the stick' or 'kick' is imputted manually within this program and the output recorded to a dedicated track.
