Once upon a time an album came out to leave its mark on music. Guitar sounds and vocals that balance vintage sounds from the 60s while putting a modern twist to them. “Revelation” is the result, a rock album to sit next to some of the great albums from the past. Once again your speakers will be treated to a definitive feel and sound, grounding music back to earth to how it should be played and heard. The Joy Evelation have certainly managed to do this with their debut release “Revelation”, which is a melodic masterpiece of edgy guitars and unadulterated vocals to create the vintage modern textures of an instant classic. Mia Joy delivers the connoisseur’s approach to organic vocals, Valve-y, dynamic and in your face. Engaging and hypnotic, they invite you in to enjoy the experience. The drums and bass combine to deliver the foundation of The Joy Evelation’s Rock Anomalies, forging the basis for layered guitars to take flight and recalibrate rock authority. Add to this the stories of the songs themselves, some colouring slightly outside of the lines with innovative introductions and bridges and you have “Revelation” The album has been recorded and produced over the past three years at Rob Garnett Music. The use of vintage guitars, amps and microphones has managed to capture the illusive essence and seamless tones that have confirmed this albums substance is out there to take in. In collaboration with Mathew Grey Mastering the sonic soundscape has been beautifully crafted to create what a rock album should sound like. Enjoy. The Joy Evelation played some amazing shows in their first year supporting ZZ Top a highlight. In 2012 they released a sold out EP while playing Festivals and shows. This enabled them to release a second EP and fund their own tour to the States, playing some Iconic venues such as The Viper Room and The Whisky A Go Go. Their Debut CD will be shopped around the world as the look for a management and publishing deal. With Special Guests The Badpiper, The Guitar Pit and more to be announced.
