september 2000: chamber zane, fresh out of a dissipated garage band, set out with a pawnshop guitar and shareware recording software.

june 2001: the name 'method of necrosis' is officially chosen after several rejected working titles. crowe renfield is brought in to handle vocals.

july 2001: a demo track is recorded of a song that would eventually become "tomorrow".

october 2001: childhood friend of chamber's, rob ("peaches"), is inducted initally as a rhythm guitarist, but his talents were shortly thereafter reassigned to bass.

april 2002: a compilation cd of chamber's older work and some of the new method of necrosis tracks (titled 'apathy for the devil') is given a short run. only 20 copies were ever manufactured.

november 2002: method of necrosis' SHOUTcast radio station debuted to function as an online demo tape and a way to get listener feedback to works in progress.

january 2003: a finished verison of "tomorrow" makes the jump from online radio to actual radio, featured prominently on a local radio station. a week later, "cocoon" was the current airwave pollutant.

march 2003: the beginning of method of necrosis' rare live shows. by this point crowe had become decreasingly involved with the band, and the first time MofN was on stage, chamber was on vocals. around this same time, methodofnecrosis.com was purchased.

november 2003: the first (and last, for now anyway) 'proper' release, an EP titled "nitrogen narcosis".

january 2004: the radio station that featured us fell victim to the dreaded format change. i still miss it.

may-october 2004: several unreleased tracks were written and partially recorded, the only ones ever fully completed being "very much", "nothing new (under the sun)", and a cover of "brand new key".

february 2005: in honor of mardi gras, method of necrosis hosted the "gris gris giveaway" - we drew a name out of a hat and gave a lot of cool stuff to a lucky winner. notable here mainly because it spawned a "music video" of sorts, featuring a then-work-in-progress, "very much". this is also around the time method of necrosis joined the unwashed masses on myspace.

march-october 2005: mostly wasted on a few remixes of nitrogen narcosis material that never got finished, and more songs that never got fully recorded (that may show up somewhere in some other incarnation, who knows).

november 2005: rob and chamber tenatively part ways (on good terms, at least) to pursue other projects and interests.
