“WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 23, 2013 TSA winners Tamworth Songwriters' Association (TSA) award and competition winners were announced in a gala presentation at Country Music Capital's Longyard Hotel last night. In the TSA's National Songwriting competition, Ian List won Amateur Traditional with This Land Australia, James Donnelly took home the Amateur Contemporary category with Her Kiss and Angus Gill (pictured) was named winner of the Junior section. Stan Lenz won the Blues, Roots & Bluegrass section with Picking The Blues, Merv Webster took out the Lyrics Only section with The Dingo Scalper's Daughter and John Walsh & Mike Carr were successful in Professional Traditional with The Comfort Of A Stranger. ”

In the Lyrics Only section, finalists are Geoff Munro & Carol Basstian with Fire, Friend Or Foe, Ed Sutherland with The Ironclad Hotel, Merv Webster with A Love To Own The Land and The Dingo Scalper's Daughter and Wendy Wood with I Wish You Enough. Winners in the songwriting contest will be announced, together with Songwriters Salute Award and New Songwriter Award winners at the gala presentation concert at Country Music Capital's Longyard Hotel from 7pm on Tuesday January 22. ”

“Not So Dusty II - the search is over... the final tracks have been found The Nulla Records search for the final track for inclusion on the long awaited sequel to the gold selling 1998 Not So Dusty album is over… and yesterday the album was sent off for mastering. Nulla recently had invited Slim fans to submit their Slim Dusty tributes in a search to hopefully find a suitable track to fill the final spot on the new Slim tribute album Not So Dusty II (The Bushies Tribute to Slim Dusty). ”
