It will be an all-day event this year with music, vendors, "Thriller" dance lessons and more taking place before the evening festivities. We do plan to show the movie, "The Night Of The Living Dead," this year as part of the night's fun...weather permitting! And, we'll have an official 'walk' throughout the downtown streets, as well as an audience-wide "Thriller" dance! More than 700 zombies and friends showed up at the first event in October of 2011...let's see if we can double that number for 2012! Feel free to share this event now and let the excitement build for the next few months. Be sure to SAVE THE DATE on your calendar! While this IS an all-day event...we do not expect all of you Zombies to be in your make-up and dress the whole time. We are trying to make this a community event in the daytime and an 'undead' event for the night. We especially hope that lots of you will come out early for the "Trhiller" dance lessons so we can make it the kind of dance-off that larger cities have. You are welcome to come dressed as early as you'd like, but you can wait until later to get in costume if you prefer. More details will be added as they 'come to life!' Tentative Schedule: 12:00pm - Set-Up Begins 1:00pm - Event TBA 2:00pm - Vendors and Inflatables Open To Public 2:00pm - "Thriller Dance Class" #1 (conducted by Pep & Pizzazz Studio) 3:00pm - "Thriller Dance Class" #2 (conducted by Pep & Pizzazz Studio) 3:00pm - Corn Hole Tournament 3:45pm - Blackheart (live band) 4:45pm - Krystal Witch (live band) 5:45pm - Freddy and the Cruegers (live band) 6:45pm - Medusa Childe (live band) 7:45pm - Zombie Costume Contest 8:00pm - Monster Dance Presentation (conducted by Pep & Pizzazz Studio) 8:15pm - "Thriller Dance Refresher Lesson" (conducted by Pep & Pizzazz and SWHS Cheerleaders) 8:20pm - Community "Thriller" Dance-Off 8:30pm - Zombie Walk (from Judicial Center Plaza to Market Street, Central Avenue, East Mt Vernon to Square and back to Judicial Center Plaza) 9:30pm - FREE outdoor showing of "The Night Of The Living Dead"
