CHANCE HURTEA BENEFIT WITH: GODHAMMERED MEDIUS BETTY BEWARE & the COFFIN BANGERS GORELESQUE SUGGESTED DONATION: $5 DOORS: 7:30 / SHOW: 9:00 This is a benefit for local artist Chance Hurteau, who was recently diagnosed with advanced stage cancer. He's a well-known artist in the SD tattoo community, so we would appreciate any help we could get in this situation. ALL proceeds will go to Chance in the hopes of mitigating some of his medical costs. GODHAMMERED: Formed in early 2011 as a just-for-fun side project of former members of Awaiting Samsara ,Sight Unscene, and the local Beardsmen of the Apocalypse Club, Godhammered has hit their stride as of the past few months with a solid lineup, new songs, and a goal set for shows in the immediate future. Combining many influences of many genres of heavy music, the result is a crushing combination of groove, doom and melody that isn't around in the current San Diego music scene. Get ready to get 'Hammered. MEDIUS started in San Diego, CA and has gone on to become one of the heaviest and most unrelenting bands in the country. Medius has performed with dozens of national acts, performed on television, radio, and more. Since finalizing their line-up in 2011, they have shared the stage with Powerman 5000, Obituary, Green Jelly (Jell-O), Prong, Full Blown Chaos, Exodus, Hemlock, and performed at private parties for the Metal Mulisha. Medius will be releasing their first full length album titled “Burns Going Down” SPRING 2012 and are in the middle of planning a national US tour to follow the release. Medius’ Philosophy: “We love to make heavy music, we love to have fun, and we aren’t pretentious. Our mission is to share it with as many people as possible and have a great time along the way.” BETTY BEWARE and the COFFIN BANGERS was a culmination of many stars aligning and friendships blooming. It all started with Bree Berzerker. One late night while out partying, she did some bad drugs laced with a vile chemical that rotted her body from the inside out. She turned into a brain eating zombie and wandered the streets looking for some sexy legs to munch on. Thats where she came across Lacey Von Loveless. She was walking out of a bar, looking for more trouble to get into. Boy did she find it! The two became instant zombie friends and wandered the streets of San Diego quenching their thirst for blood and titties. Thats where they came across San Von Zombie. She was shaking her tassles at the Rocky Horror Picture Show when the two jumped her right there on the stage. The crew was high with blood lust and hungering for brains, sauntering down the streets when they found Xanadu Rocketship looking extra tasty in her lolita costumes. They couldn't help themselves, they wanted a bite! Now this band of bloody babes are loose on the streets, looking for babes, brains, and getting naked once in a while.
