Collin McLoughlin / Press

“I have been following Collin for a long time now and I really feel he is one of the top new artists in the game. He has graced the site numerous times with free jams. Below is his latest song "Monster," featuring Sam Adams that came out on iTunes yesterday, Friday December 17th. Now I know you guys come to the site to download new music for free, but I'm stressing for you guys to pay 99 cents one time. You all will be able to download his album "Ambiguity" for free when it is released on January 26, 2011, but it would go a long way if you guys would buy this song off iTunes for 99 cents today and support Collin. Congrats to Collin on this dope track with Sam Adams and link to iTunes is below!”

“Rising pop star Collin McLoughlin teams up with our fellow Masshole , turned nationally known rhyme-slayer Sam Adams on this radio ready banger (clarification, I'm a Masshole, Collin's an NYC cat). Tune in, enjoy, and purchase it on iTunes to support the man on his grind. I hope this duo plans to put out some more tracks together. Also we look forward to seeing Collin team up with Kinetics & One Love on their upcoming album. I saw him perform with them at an amazing Starboard Hudson Show, and needless to say he crushed it. The dude has star-power.”

“Collin McLoughlin is one of the more musically talented artists we've featured on Fab4. With his great voice, Collin has the ability to record smooth verses over electronic beats as well as acoustic instrumentals. He has the potential to reach a mainstream crowd of pop/hip hop fans. His previous band opened for K'naan, Wale, Lupe Fiasco, Fabolous, Brother Ali, and more headliners. He plans to release his debut album, Ambiguity Jan. 26th.”

“Not only is Collin an incredibly talented singer/songwriter but he's also a very down to earth guy. His newest single "Monster" features Sam Adams and is an absolute hit. Everything from the production to the vocals, from the catchy hook to a dope Sam Adams feature, brings the track together perfectly. Collin's debut album "Ambiguity" is dropping January 26, 2011 for free. Since Collin's going to be delivering so much great music for no charge, please show your support by downloading "Monster" from iTunes.”

“Our boy Collin is back and this time he's swinging for the fences with a big time single. Not only is it getting an official iTunes release but it's got everyone's favorite white boy rapper on it Sam Adams. Collin gave us a sneak preview of this song a while back and now it's finally ready for the mainstream. We're only going to post the stream here and we strongly encourage you guys to check it out and head over to iTunes to buy it ASAP. For $1 you can support one of the artists that keep this blog going strong.”

“Collin McLoughlin is an amazing vocalist and Sam Adams is a party. Sam makes some of the catchiest songs that will also make you want to dance at a party. These two come together for a major hit. Collin starts off the song with strong vocals and then Sam Adams begins rapping at 2:22”

“Well FNT Nation, the time has come. Collin has been sitting on this heater for months and months and we have begged and begged for him to let it loose on the world. Collin is releasing this track through iTunes, we have posted a full preview below, but if you are feeling the track head over to iTunes to score your own copy. Collin’s new album “Ambiguity” is slated for release on January 26, 2011 and will be completely free, so no ear will be left dry. I will be honest here, every member of FNT will be buying this song on iTunes today, not because we don’t already have it, or because we can’t find it somewhere else for free, but because we believe in supporting the budding artists of this industry that we cant get enough of…we hope you do the same!”

“The debut single off Collin McLoughlin’s debut album, Ambiguity. We have given you your fair share of free McLoughlin in the past here on F2DD, but this time we are asking you to support Collin’s iTunes single off his album, which will include 11-12 new tracks, all for free. If you’re still unfamiliar with McLoughlin, think pop infused electro combining melodic, smooth lyrical melodies. Staying humble, Collin is making a serious bid into the mainstream scene, shading his numerous talents with his distinguished voice. Originally signing over acoustic melodies, Collin has transformed his game onto high tempo electro beats. On this track, “Monster“, we get a taste of the sound of Collin’s album but assured me he’s got encouragement/pressure to move into the electro-pop scene, so expect a lot more of that genre coming our way as well.”

“Collin McLoughlin is one artist that definitely needs to be exposed to the world. His vocals are ridiculous and you can tell he makes music with passion. Here’s a brand new track with Sam Adams thats now up on iTunes. I’ve added a few free songs from him though, and they are just as sick. He’s really talented. Show your support for great artists by buying this song and fan him on Facebook.”

“The world needs to know about Collin McLoughlin…although I will settle with all of DML’s readers knowing who he his. You guys want to know the next big thing in the music business before everyone else does? Look no further than Collin McLoughlin. He has steadily grown in fame in the past few months and I firmly believe that he is about to make a huge splash in the music industry. If I had to pick my favorite artist, I would choose him in a heartbeat. Every single one of his songs are in the top ten of my itunes library.”

“Collin McLoughlin was hands down my favorite new "underground" artist of the year for 2010. When I first heard Back to the Wall and Come Back to You I loved it, but Airplanes was without a doubt my favorite. I think it's #1 on my play counts on iTunes actually. Just a great voice, great ear for samples and killer beats. Word is he's dropping an album early next year. Fully expect this kid to blow up big time sooner rather than later.”

"You know the last time I was this excited about a new artist? When I posted a song called Watcha Say by an unknown singer named Jason Derulo. Then spent the next year talking about how sick Jason Derulo was and how he was the next big thing and how great his voice and sampling was. How'd that turn out by the way? Heard of him yet? Anyway this kid Collin is 22 from Bedford NY. I just checked out his 2 singles and they're absolutely unreal. Like I'm blown away. His voice is incredible. I love the electro-beats vibe. Everything about this guy screams superstar. A white soulful hip dude from NY making his own music. You need to check this stuff out."

"A couple days ago I got a few emails about this local kid from Bedford and Colgate who was putting out new music and to check it out blah blah. We get dozens of emails like that every day. Everyone wanting to be the New York Sam Adams. But then I saw he was getting posted up on some big time music blogs with a lot of positive hype. Lot of buzz. And as it turns out he just happened to be opening for Sam at Blender Theater at Gramercy on Saturday. So I went to check out the show and it was like bizarro concert world or something. No joke (girls) were fighting each other to get to the stage and throwing their bras up there. Their boyfriends were posted up against the wall singing all the lyrics. Going absolutely nuts. Like it was 7 PM. It was still light outside. Don’t even think people were drunk because Bud Light cans were $10 bucks. Just flat out insanity. Never seen anything like it for an opening act. "

“When I clicked “play” Collin’s voice jumped out of my g-mail and hit me in the face like a train. I was stunned. I was surprised. I was impressed. As “Back To The Wall” played through my speakers, I knew I was listening to a talent that was not only special but unique. That night, I went through countless youtube videos of him performing. (The one above is perhaps one of my favorites). I knew when I laid my eyes and ears on Collin’s music, he was something special.”

"I can’t say enough about this guy. A few days ago, I sat down and watched this video. After watching the first video, I went on to listen, for literally hours, every video of his on youtube. I was completely blown away. From my perspective, he has one of the richest voices I’ve ever heard. What I love about Collin’s music is that he incorporates hip-hop lyrics with an acoustic sound. He truly makes it all his own. For more information on Collin, check him out here. Below, I included some additional videos for you to check out."

“I saw this guy a while back on FNT and at the time I knew he had an unreal voice. When I watched the above video this morning I was pretty much sold on this dude. Quick fact about the Dean: I am a sucker for acoustic rap covers and if you can blend more than one plus my favorite RHCP jam into one dope melody, then thats absolute perfection. That fact that he can play the acoustic guitar, but can also hold his own singing pop ballads off electro beats makes him a deadly double threat in today’s music world and I expect to see more of him in the future. He just released a solid remix to Airplanes so if you are anything like me you need to check him out.”

“I’ve said it multiple times and will say it again, this guy is SICK. He is a grad student at NYU and is also a member of the hip-hop group Nautical Young which was started when he was a student at Colgate. He is going solo through the same management team which brought up Sam Adams. He just performed in NYC with DJ Philistine, 5 & A Dime and the Kinetics in a supposedly epic concert which I’m really pissed I missed. Anyway hes released three tracks so far. GET THEM.”

“The more music I hear from 20-year-old New Yorker, Collin McLoughlin, the clearer it becomes that he has a bright future ahead of him in the music industry! I previously posted his upcoming artist profile and first two singles, “Back To The Wall and “Come Back To You” which I strongly recommend you check out if you missed them the first time around! Now, Collin lends some powerful vocals to B.o.B.’s hit “Airplanes”! Look out for his upcoming single, “Monster” featuring Sam Adams!!!”

“(Back to the Wall) has a great beat and is truly a pleasure to listen to. mcloughlin has a voice superior to many of his competitors in his dance-rap subgenre, and it really puts his music on a different stage than others in the game. an up-and-coming star no doubt.”

“Collin McLoughin is no brainer for labels. Incorporating hip-hop lyrics into a soulful acoustic sound, Collin is an artist that I expect to make serious waves in the music industry. Collin is currently working on his debut EP that will be something you won't want to miss out on.”

“New Collin McLoughlin. This kid impressed me more and more every time I hear a new song. Hit up the comments below if you think this is better than Posner's original. All I can say about this is it is damn impressive. Working on getting Collin to come to Fairfield U along with some other of our favorite new college artists in the spring. Enjoy!”

"The first opening act was Collin Mcloughlin, an up and coming hip-hop and R&B artist from New York. Collin had a similar style in his music to the main act, Sam Adams, so the crowd was able to get into his music and sing along with him. Getting to play a few of his songs off his EP. Colin also did a remix of the popular song ‘Airplanes.”"

“Well, this should have been posted sooner, but what really matters is that we brought it to you. I can’t decide which of the three songs he’s released for his new project that I prefer the most. Of the two songs we’ve posted of his before, “Back to the Wall” & “Airplanes (Remix)”, both have been downloaded a good number of times and have also been rated extremely well. Collin McLoughlin is definitely gonna make it somewhere, and I hope we can help him get there.”

“T-Po sent over this little diddy to me last night and I just got around to listening to it now. It's remix to B.o.B.'s Airplanes and the dude has some serious pipes. He does more R&B type stuff and is releasing an album this fall. Don't be too surprised if you see more of this guy around in the future.”

“Collin McLoughlin is 22 from Bedford, NY. Collin’s soulful voice and true to life lyrics resonate with a broad audience. “Back To the Wall” is a story of being at a crossroads and passing up the safe, smooth path to follow your passion and embark on a rough and sometimes unforgiving journey, in Collin’s case, pursuing a musical career. Collin has the capability of becoming one of the next superstar musicians in the music industry. Collin has an up-beat feel and sings over electro-pop beats that make his music something any guy or girl will want.”

“I know how sick all of you have to be of B.o.B. and Hayley Williams’s Airplanes, but this Collin McLoughlin remix is dope. He’s got an awesome voice and gets creative with a new message. Check it out below and see for yourself.”

“Collin McLoughlin is 22 year old singer / songwriter out of Westchester, New York. He is beginning to burst on the scene lately. His sound is a combination of electro / pop / R&B. Though you guys might not have heard of him yet, you will. He has performed with artists such as Wale, Fabolous, K'Naan, Sam Adams, and Lupe Fiasco. The first song is called "Back to the Wall". This song is going to be a radio hit very soon, its a banger. Next is his creative cover of the smash hit "Airplanes". Lastly, "Come Back to You". Collin has a very distinct sound and he is going to be going places. Check out his website (Collin McLoughlin Website) and try to go see him when he is around the Tri-State Area.”

“This guy is a great artist and has a great way of remixing songs. Here he takes the hit "Airplanes" and does a good thing. This guys voice is just so good and his lyrics kill it. Enoy.”

“DatNewMusic.com adds "Back to the Wall," and "Come Back to You," as must downloads, and posts an artist spotlight article on Collin's music”

“Collin fans have been waiting for this for weeks and it finally dropped today, the remix to BOB's smash hit Airplanes. As usual the kid's voice kills it. Rumor has it he has a bunch of new shit on the way so as always we will keep you posted. ”

“FNT Nation, we have quite the treat for you. To say that Collin simply remixes this track, would not do it justice. Rather he reinvigorates it with his thoughtful lyricism, unique tone, and rich vocals. We hope you enjoy this track as much as we did, and jump in the comment box and let us know what you think!”

“New artist out of NYC. Apparently he's done some big openings... Doing the whole grad students music career thing so he must have the smarts to make this thing work.”

“this is is certainly on the poppy side of new music, but it sounds great and is run up by a very good beat. i think that this artists songs will have a home inside clubs across the country in these next few years.”

“I am extremely impressed with what I have heard! Collin’s future appears to be very bright! In the weeks ahead, he will be releasing a track called “Monster”, featuring none other than Boston’s Boy, Sam Adams! In the meantime, lend your ears to the two tracks below, your eyes to his press bio, and your support to Collin on Facebook & Twitter! Also make sure you check out his official website!”

“Last time Collin was on here, I was blown away with his vocals in “Back to the Wall."... He’s got a very refreshing voice that I’m sure you’ll like.”

"Nice Refreshing Sound. (I) Got this one in an email and I’m really liking the feel of this track…"
