Jacob McCaslin has been surrounded by music all of his life, his very first inspiration was actually from the group N'Sync! As a child, he never stopped singing, just ask his family! It was about 4th grade when Jacob's two friends came to him at recess and sung him a parody song they wrote. Jacob immediately wanted in on the fun! This is where Jacob found a great interest in writing parody and comedy music. Writing lyrics, at this point, came very natural for Jacob.

It wasn't until Christmas 2005 when he got his first guitar, a b/w Squier. He wasn't interested in the guitar for at least 2 years. Away from the guitar, when Jacob was in 6th grade, Jacob's friend introduced him to the piano by asking Jacob to help him play a split piano piece. Jacob became fascinated with playing, and soon got an electric piano! It wasn't until early 2008, when Jacob became VERY inspired by the guitar work of John Mayer. Jacob became so moved with the guitar, he felt he should actually pick up that guitar he got a long time ago. It started with 3 chords, taught by his Dad, E, A, and D. Every since then, Jacob has been improving more and more on the guitar.

Every since 4th grade, Jacob wrote his on comedy songs, using pre-recorded loop clips from Apple's GarageBand. He became very talented at mixing and editing music. Jacob soon felt that he was cheating in the song writing, due to the fact he wasn't performing any of the instruments... So starting about 5 months ago, he went on a writing/learning spree, and kept improving his guitar/bass/piano/AND drum skills (which wasn't mentioned earlier). In those very short 5 months Jacob wrote and performed 12 songs and got a deal with ReverbNation. His debut album "Bathroom Humor," will be out in early 2009.
