Maxwell Smart / Press

“this album was so effing awesome! it had been a while since i was "waiting" for them to get a new album out n when i found out they had it, i just had to have it. this album is very chill and has a touch of reggae which is great but i do wish it would have little bit more of upbeat songs like punk song #2. also, hungry has got the most beautiful horn arrangement! i most certainly can't wait for their next album. keep it up guys!”

“I caught these guys at the Warped Tour in Carson and couldn't get a hold of their CD due to the crowd. So glad I found them on iTunes. Great album...”

“A Sensational Ska Album If memory serves me correctly, I first stumbled across Maxwell Smart way back in the days when Myspace was cool and Facebook never existed. I obtained their self-titled EP and loved what I heard, as well as a couple of other promo songs too. Since then, I'd not heard much from them until I recently discovered Infinite Appeal (through Facebook, funnily enough) - and, boy, was I glad that I did. I've always been a sucker for ska bands with a tight horn section and infectious songs and Maxwell Smart delivers both of these in spades on Infinite Appeal, which spans an impressive 13 tracks. Aside from the fact that the recording quality is stellar, the overall feel of the album is incredibly heartfelt, very eclectic and evocative, with a good mixture of faster and slower songs, happier and angrier songs, and a solid instrumental thrown in for good measure.”
