Bio
The Max Allen Band (MAB), is a rock based band from Indianapolis, IN. MAB performs original music and is fronted by Max Allen (guitar/vocals) with Rob Coates (guitar/vocals), Shaan France (drums/vocals) and Dace Robie (bass guitar).
MAB tours continuously and has opened for and/or performed with many national acts such as: Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dickey Betts, Umphrey's McGee, The Spin Doctors, Otiel Burbridge, Ekoostik Hookah, Karl Denson, Dark Star Orchestra, Marshall Tucker Band and others.

The Max Allen Band's music can be described as a high energy combination of jazz, blues, funk and rock. With front man Max Allen’s strong vocals and stellar guitar work, Shaan France's driving percussion, bassist Dace Robie providing a solid low end and the newest member of the band Robert Coates adding flavor with his extraordinary guitar work, this band delivers killer performances laced with improvisation and experimentation. Through the combined talent of this extraordinarily talented group of musicians, the Max Allen Band has consistently wowed audiences throughout the Midwest and continues to gain fans with every performance.
The MAB tours regularly and performs about 125 shows per year. Over the past seven years Allen has had the privilege of performing on stage with and/or opening for a number of great musicians and bands including The Clarks, Jim Ryser, Larry Crane (John Mellencamp), Chris Duarte, Dishwalla, Carrie Newcomer, Otiel Burbridge, Dickey Betts (Allman Brothers), The Spin Doctors, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Ekoostik Hookah, Dark Star Orchestra, Umphrey's McGee and The Marshall Tucker Band.
The Max Allen Band is currently signed with Big Walnut Records and is also a member of the Homegrown Music Network.
