Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Matt Jelly has grown up to be a strange creature. Like a fat and hairy chameleon, through trial and failure, Jelly has racked up an eclectic resume as an artist, musician, performer and politician.

In 2008, Jelly self-released two small-run EP's, the first entitled "The Cultural Appropriation EP" and the second one entitled "The Unofficial EP: Rough Cuts in Exile". He seems to think of himself as some kind of Tyrant.
