Bio
Drummer for many known Texas based bands including"Box A Rocks"in the early 90's,known for it's large pyrotechnic displays.Also a founding member of "Dire Dirge"in the late 80's.Matt has also played for Powerage,Aftermath,The Vision,and Bad Obsession.Aside from his drumming,Matt is also known to play acoustic guitar 1 man shows,containing folk lore,and Texas Tales.
Matt is known for his antics on stage,stick throws,spins,dramatazations, and in the mid-90's,his pyrotechnics displays at shows.

There are some recordings and pictures from former adventures posted here .I have collected many CD's,t-shirts,write ups, tapes/video's,pictures,Flyers,matchbooks,cocktail napkins,and other junk from former bands,and gigs.I will gladly share what I have with anyone who is interested,or other musicians that have played with me at some time.
Through the years I have played in many bands,with many people and have been searching for long lost band mates as well.....Some of which,I have found over reverbnation and myspace,and am now networking with again,it's cool......

Yes,Box A Rocks Blew up something everywhere we went,unfortunately now most pyro technics for smaller bands have become a thing of the past,and I no longer can do this,but when I did ,it was a blast! Here are a few photo's of some of the explosions that were caught on film.Yep,that's me in the drum cage surrounded by fire,yes,I am also kind of a daredevil(or was).Hot Texas barsand Ice houses,summertime,good bar-b-que-,cold beer,.......................crazy ,rowdy,rednecks on backs of pick-up trucks drinking beer...............watching the band saying to their wife, "Look honey,one of them boys might get fryed tonight"! Now that's true Texas entertainment Folks!
Trust me.......leave this to the professionals,and don't try this at home!We are lucky nothing ever did happen all those years!Very lucky,now that I look back,I am very thankful nothing did happen!
I am trying to break into the National circuit at this time as well ".Currently I have been doing gigs around Dallas-Fort Worth,and am looking to progress even further soon. I am interested to know and meet fellow musicians,fans,Promoters,lables,agents,ect.and other folks in this buissness so if you feel like it,feel free to drop me a line.
A word about reverbnation,............................................................the best music web service ever known to mankind...............possibly even alien kind too,it is awesome,you will love it,I do.....learn,meet someone,something new everyday since I have joined! Many things in reverbnation will work in other web services such as yahoo,myspace,facebook ,msn.ect.I have several widgets of reverbnation friends posted up on my myspace page,(that I rotate on my myspace every 2 months)you can go there to see an example of how the reverbnation widgets work on other web services. You can also veiw who I have been listening to by veiwing my playlist tab,there are also playlists stored there I rock to frequently).I also try to send out tun pacs every now and then,of reverbnation artists,.
