Matt Bowden is a musician/producer/singer/songwriter. Dubbed "The Godfather" by the media & well known for his role as drug consumer advocate, industry head and political activist - Matt is shifting focus back to music. "The role of the artist is to provide reflection and direction to society, the last ten years I've done this with suits, ties, PR and lawyers, now it's time to swap that for guitars, effects and the art of song, that's how I roll."

You didn't know party pill advocate Matt Bowden (a.k.a Starboy) was also a musician did you? These four tracks are a mix of low key dance, funk and rock - with trippy effects permeating much of it. I was skeptical prior to hearing it, as it's virtually impossible to separate public figures (like Bowden) from your prior perception of them.
The music is a bit cheesy at times, with eighties sounding guitar licks and solos, and programmed beats that lack depth. There is some good live musicianship though, especially the guitars (Matt's pretty handy with a six string). T'm guessing these tunes are the sound of Starboy coming down from a fair few good nights out.
The funky 'Can You Feel It' is my pick.”
