The MIKE DILLON Band is more punk rock than you!!! Shit, 21 yr old Carly is more punk rock than you! This show was everything you want to be and more. First set was blistering! Dark, scary, aggressive. It was straight up mean. Scared the granola right out of the hippies there for The Revivalists. This band is so tight and in your face, you would think they have played together for years. They didn’t miss a beat. Went straight for the throat. Left people in shock. Funky Batz did a good job providing people f or Mike D. and crew to play 2 mean sets. Guess because Mike plays in Galactic, GAT, DKG’s, Les Claypool, etc., people think he is doing some jam band thing that caters to hula hoops, lava lamps and bead building ceremonies. This is not a drum circle. This is PUNK ROCK. Ok…. AfroPsychoLoungePunkFunkHipHopWorldBeatJazz with an emphasis on PUNK.

Les Claypool's Frog Brigade, Bill Goat, Mike Dillon’s Go-Go Jungle,The Dead Kenny G's, Critters Buggin, Malachy Papers, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Garage A Trois, The Hairy ApesBMX. The one element in common with all these bands is a man named Mike Dillon. His skill on percussion instruments of many stripes has caught the attention of groups far and wide keeping Mike busy on stages and in studios for many years. After 25 years of constant touring,Vibraphonist Mike Dillon has started another project. This outfit has learned over three hours of music that the percussionist has played at various points of his career. No matter If the band is playing old school flavored hip hop jam "bullsnake" from the Billy Goat days or "Omar" from the latest Garage A Trois record, music lovers attending the show will be compelled to get dancing as the amazing Carly Meyers blows minds with her trombone energy! Drummer Radom G, beats his drums with the fury of a young punk rock drummer yet has the finesse of a funk drummer due to years of study with Stanton Moore. Bru Brusser from Government Majik holds down the low end Landscape! The Band will also be playing unreleased songs from the prolific songwriters hard drive.
