Featuring: Ada, Emily Helming, Mark Farmer, Taylor Bell, Ryan Convertini on percussion, and Charles Duke (special guest) A community of songwriters exposing their talents, messages, and love of music with each other by joining together and collaborating with each other's songs and stories. The combination of those talents along with the skills of a master percussionists creates a show that none should miss. "Farmer and Friends" provides both audience and artist a unique experience that is very distinct from a typical songwriters' showcase. Described as a "Songwriter Supergroup", the artists perform a collaboration piece of each artists' original songs. With up to 5 singer-songwriters, each artist's fan-base is introduced to the other artists and their music. All performers participate throughout the entire performance, so each artists' fans are introduced to not just a very talented group, but a show of variety and genre. With each song performed as a full band. This is a treat for both artist and audience. Each artist acts as director of the group for their songs. This allows them to use their creativity to expand on their works as well as provides the artists' fans with a fresh new version of some of the favorite songs. The show exposes how truly talented these artists are. With only minimal rehearsal time (typically one hour prior to the show), the audience members are truly in awe throughout the show with how in-sync the group is. It is not your typical "jam session" as these songs are all choreographed by its creator. It all unfolds before their very eyes and ears and the results make for a fascinating experience. Ada - From Berklee College of Music, Ada is one of the most talented violinists/singer-songwriters in the area. She can and has played along with other artists after hearing only the first few notes for the first time. She quiets rooms with her very very sweet voice and her unique solo Jazz/Folk/Pop fusions. Her songs are a breath of fresh air for any listener. For more on Ada, visit https://soundcloud.com/ada-pasternak Emily Helming is an outstanding vocalist and bassist. She is pleased to be joining Farmer and Friends. She has made low thumping noises for a handful of local artists including Craig Chesler, Bryan Dunn and Chris Lee. In her spare time, she is trying to learn how to play chords on the guitar studying with Scott Sharrard. Mark Farmer is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Mississippi and New Orleans now living in NYC. From the Big Easy to the Big Apple he has honed in on his folk-rock and blues sound with his piano-heavy gospel roots. Songwriting at a very young age, he has created several catchy numbers with messages that most anyone can empathize with. For more on Mark, visit http://www.markfarmersworld.com/ Ryan Convertini is a very talented percussionist that can accompany anyone and any genre with a full kit or a variety of hand drums. Arguably, the percussionist is the key to any solid melody. Playing music since childhood, Ryan takes his value to the next level with his acute skills of understanding all the intricate aspects of what turns a sound into a song. Taylor Bell is a Georgia-bred composer and multi-instrumentalist living in New York City. A testament to his passionate personality, Taylor focuses on confronting real issues through his music. Using the guitar and piano, he brings an edgy, alternative sound that has been called "original" and "engaging" to New York City's singer/songwriting platform.' For more on Taylor, visit http://www.avondalebytaylorbell.com/ Charles Duke (special guest) is an amazing pianist and vocalist with a very soulful jazz and blues sound. He exemplifies belief in the power of music. His melodic storytelling skills, along with his high caliber voice and piano skills, create a very easy listening ambiance.
