Every year on 20 June, the world honors the courage, resilience and strength of refugees during World Refugee Day. The World Refugee Day Community Festival celebrates the contribution new and emerging refugee communities are making to South East Queensland. Mantist & Bolo are the top line up of artists performing on the day.

The 13th Homeless Connect event on Wednesday 29 May will again transform the RNA showground in a one-stop shop for people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. More than 200 volunteers will help council, the Salvation Army and other agencies to provide a range of free services on the day. The services and supplies on offer include everything from medical and legal consultations to accommodation referrals, clothing, haircuts, food and entertainment. Brisbane hip hop artists Mantist and Bolo also known by their crew name No Pain No Gain (NPNG) will be performing. Come for services or come for fun, it’s a win-win day.
Come experience rich and colorful African cultures at the Africa Day Festival The festival will showcase African art, clothing, dance, music and food, with activities for kids. The University of Queensland African Students Association is having an event to celebrate Africa Day. Their aim is to celebrate African’s talent from musicians to dancers, fashion designers and poets. The event runs from 5.30pm to 8pm. Among the performers is the inner city hip-hop crew No Pain No Gain (NPNG). Come one, come all.
