A music lover since birth, Makell Bird developed a strong interest in Hip-Hop music at the age of 12 and started freestyling at the age of 14.
At age 18, Makell graduated from Stockbridge High School. He would now embark on his career in the music industry, meeting and working with many artists. Here is a list of his accomplishments...
In the summer of 2000, Makell Bird created his underground label "Angelic Destroyer Entertainment (A.D.E.)" and began recording.
2001, Makell Bird completed his debut underground album "Birth Uv Destruction 2001".
Produced 2 tracks ("240 Intro" & "The Music") on D.J. Taz' 3rd release "It's On" (released and distributed by Select-O-Hits 07/17/2001). He was also the creative director and typesetter for this album and attended the album release party held at the club "Bounce" in Atlanta , GA which included appearances by C-Major and DJ Smurf (Mr. Collipark) to name a few.
2000-2004 - Makell Bird works with MANY underground artists from the Metro Atlanta area and puts together a series of 3 CDs entitled "Over-Da-Edge Freestyle Collection", showcasing the talents of and introducing such artists as Nitemare, Psycho Prophet G aka DJ Kinky, Crazy Victim, L.I. and Pistol Grip of 2 Crunk, Complete, Q Poundz, King Brown, Tha Foundation, Legacy, and Daniel Demoilition aka D-Boi. Makell is also involved with the production and guidance of 2 following underground albums by A.D.E. signed artist Nitemare entitled "Fresh" and "M.I.A."
09/01/2002 - 09/07/2004. Makell Bird hosted a soundclick.com page, taking the 1 (for 3 days straight!), 2 (for 1 day), 3 (for 5 days straight!), spots on the soundclick.com charts. He also had a song on soundclick.com that was in the top 20 for over 6 months and received over 33,000+ total song plays before retiring the page.
12/19/2003. Makell Bird was the subject of a front page article in "The Henry Herald", a tri-county newspaper.
02/2004. Makell Bird's commentary was featured in the February 2004 issue of "Ozone" (an Orlando, Florida based Hip-Hop mag).
07/08/2004 - Makell Bird moves from Metro ATL to Las Vegas, NV.
10/13/2006 - Makell Bird meets and proceeds to sign and produce for local Las Vegas R&B singer Natika (myspace.com/NatikaJ)
08/31/2007 - Makell Bird creates his OFFICIAL myspace music page, networking and making his tracks and CDs available for purchase on many formats including downloadable MP3s, ringtones, and the CDs themselves.
Summer of 2007 - Makell Bird reunites w/ DJ Taz and begins working on his mixtape "DJ Taz - Classic: The Black Mongoose Edition" while simultaneously collecting tracks for what will be album 1.75 "Makell Bird - Citizens Of Maktown".
