Lucky Pineapple is a seven-piece tropical nightmare with detours into world rhythms, experimental grooves, punk rock, pop, and progressive sounds.

For several years now, LP has been a local Louisville favorite attracting crowds as diverse as their sounds.
Influences may include: Oingo Boingo, King Crimson, Tortoise, Angelo Badalamenti, Swans, Bauhaus, Minutemen, Devo, Cake, etc.

The band has played with such diverse national acts as Faun Fables, Man Man, Billy Nayer Show, Gore Gore Girls, French Toast and others.

In late 2005, William Benton of Lucky Pineapple helped find the location and curate the Burn to Shine 4 DVD, a Louisville installment to the series.
