“My Shed Blood For Thee”
I have seen You there with my eyes, oh Lord,
I have seen You suffering.
I have seen You crucified, my Lord.
Shedding your precious blood for my sin.
I have felt You take me to your cross my Lord,
and there to die with You,
so that in glory with You my Lord,
I may rise again!
I have felt the power of Your blood my Lord,
washing me through and through of all iniquity
as the cleansing flood.
Kneeling before your cross, my Lord
I have cried so many tears
and it is then as I weep before You,
on the cross my Lord,
that You say more to me and I to You,
than even a thousand prayers.
There is no greater glory my Lord,
than to worship You,
at the cross of Calvary.
For it was there You died to save all man.
Yet, I know my Lord it was there,
that You died,
if only to save me.
I have seen you there my Lord,
with this look of blazing love within Your eyes,
that speaks to me with such tender cries.
“This is because I love you!.”
Is what You say to me.
“No greater gift of love,
do I have to give,
than my shed blood for thee.”
