Enlisting a bunch of long time friends, Portland OR's Lotus Isle was formed in 2008 by Matt Brown. The goal was to mine a more subdued vein of the rock tradition and drench it in slap-back delay, tiny tube amps, nylon string guitars, and Bigsby Vibratos. The result is their debut, "bandmates EP", which was recorded almost entirely in Brown's bedroom and mixed by Portland's own audio wiz-kid, Jeff Stuart Saltzman.
