In late 2007 after practically giving up on his search for new bandmates, Ian was contacted by Mike and Shaun for an audition out of the blue. By March 2008 they added Jason Deffenbaugh on bass and had to pick a name. Mike wanted to use something with 'stereo' in it and Ian, being a fan of The Cars suggested 'Moving in Stereo.‘ Eventually Mike suggested using 'lost’ instead. Their sound is not so distant from some of their influences including: Foo Fighters, Nirvana, The Lemonheads, Failure, and MUSE. Fans of the band can download free tracks from the music player.
