Bio

seamlessly shifting from psychedelic soundscapes to intense pound tribal madness
Poppy melodies explode in phantasmagoric blooms, only to be suddenly crushed under the foot of massive beats
building and morphing through tribal influences that spread across the whole world, this music is anything but loopy. From dance floor nukes, to late night shuffles, the beats keep shifting. This is dancefloor music for couches. As comfortable and smooth as it is funky and driving. Layers of melodic interplay keep bouncing off one another, all the while bringing you back to the beat.
One thing is for sure. loop bias can rock a bass bin.

About

David Degen, the man behind loop bias is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, visual/performance artist who lives in saskatoon, saskatchewan, canada. He has been writing and recording music since he was 15 years old. Self taught, he started out using freeware recording software (scream tracker, and hammer head) a ten dollar pen mic, and a miniature casio keyboard.
He doesn't so much as write, or play music, as he loses himself in sounds. recording sessions often start with a blank palette, and end with finished products.
years of obsession and dedication have led to a massive (and  yet unpublished) discography.
though occasionally giving out a disc or two, or playing a local club, he remained very private about his production.
"i just never really considered getting my music out there. I wasn't playing for any one else, I love playing, i can't stop analyzing everything i hear. Most of what i play is what I want to hear, but can't find anywhere.  I'm kind of taken back when i play stuff i wrote back, it's like i wasn't there, it sounds new to me. I guess it's like the music was playing me."
About a year ago, when he realized that he'd recorded well over 20 hours of music in less than 3 years, he decided it was about time to start sharing what he was doing on the internet.
since that time, without very much effort, he has gathered a small but enthusiastic following, and is looking forward to playing more music
