The Lonesome Cowboy

Thank you for visiting my page.   I grew up the youngest boy in a large family of 7 with two older brothers and two younger sisters my mom and dad. Although we were financially poor my folks did a great job keeping it from us, atleast from me. I recieved my first guitar for Christmas when I was 6 years old form a Jolly Ole St Nick..We never could afford to take lessons so we played by ear. I still do, I cant read a note. My father played harmonica and sweet potato and was a big influence to me. I remember sitting off to the side and out of sight just to hear him and then try my best to pick the notes that he was playing. I eventually got it, I think. By the time I was 15 I had joined the church choir in Eden. I graduated High School at 17 took the money that people had gifted to me and bought my first 12 string and off to the Army. At 19 I came home to the farm and became a dad myself. At 21 I had my first bout of Cancer.  It didn't stop me either.  Then a second at 34. Proud of my son and daughter and blessed with two wonderful grandsons. They now reside at the farm. Life does go on, as I play on. I hope that you enjoy listening as much as I enjoy playing and singing
