Q: No hate, but why did you start rapping? You are very good at it from what I've heard, and you seem to have quite the potential. Anyone or anything influence you more than other people/things?
A: Well, to be honest, i would have never started to rap if it weren't for an old friend of mine. He always freestyled, and eventually i got pushed into it as well. Poetry was fun for me, so rhyme schemes didn't seem too hard. My life, my relationships, my family and friends are what influence me, to continue making music, and pursue other courses of happiness. As for musical influences, Tool and Nine Inch Nails were some really awesome bands that just blew me away as a kid. Same with Metallica, Slayer, and Rage Against the Machine. System of a Down inspired me to do music, but clumsy fingers and a bad singing voice discouraged me greatly. ICP, KMK and Tech however, helped me gain confidence in not only focusing on what was important but also made me believe that i actually could be part of something. Fast forward now, and i have my homies Kyle Crabtree, Dev!ne, and Mossburg Pimpin to thank for being musical influences, and Liquid Assassin and Black Pegasus as well.
