Bio
From sweet folk to raw energy to aggressive funk I have built my career on playing outside the box. Russo's enormous stage energy, powerful voice and percussive playing style belie her small frame. This little ladie puts on one heckuva show.
Her band history reflects her style of music - a little bit of everything. Russo's played bass in a psychedelic jam band, mandolin in a Celtic group and guitar in every kind of funk, folk, jazz, and rock combination you can imagine.
Through it all she combines her sense of music with her sense of humor. Sometimes outrageous, sometimes intense, always original.
Lojo Russo is a professional performer with 10 years experience playing festivals to front steps, coffeehouses to concert halls.

And now, a word about the new release, little white box, by Lojo Russo:
A box - be it little, white or something else - is a place to keep stuff; memories, toys, secrets, treasures, people. When we put our stuff inside a box we tend to forget what’s inside. When we put ourselves inside a box we put limits on our self - we become something that fits everyone else’s idea of who we are or should be. I prefer to live outside the box – with all my stuff spilling out. Outside the box is where I have room to evolve, grow, try, see, experience, play with, and remember all the stuff that makes me, me. I know I am at my best and happiest when I am living outside of the box! So... when’s the last time you opened the lid of your box and looked inside?
