When I was a boy, I had a one track mind full of one track kind of things.
I had a hard time trying to define who I would be that Saturday.
Looking back I can see,
What a fool I used to be.

Such a harsh reality.
Who I was is who I've been lately.

I've been hiding away so the Truth won't get me,
And when it finds me I'll make sure that I don't listen,
To who it says I'm supposed to be,
But I'll always know that there's something missing.

When I was a boy, I would need everyone after they had gone away.
I was just stuck there, the middle of nowhere, thinking that I'd messed up today.
Looking back I can see.
I'm not who I was meant to be.
Who I was is who I've been lately.
