Liz grew up in a musical family in New England, and was raised on old ballads from Scotland, Ireland, England and Appalachia, in addition to the New Orleans brass music her father plays. She currently performs with the all-women quartet Long Time Courting and folk-fusion project Annalivia, and also appears on occasion with The John Whelan Band and in a duo with English singer Hannah Sanders.
