In December of 2011 Little Johnny was Nominated for the 2011 Chicago BMA Awards as Male Blues Artist of the Year. The nominee's include Lonnie Brooks, Billy Branch. Otis Clay, Lindsey Alexander and Wayne Baker Brooks. His band was also nominated for Blues Band of the year.
