“Out of the Minneapolis area of the US state of Minnesota comes a rather interesting Melodic Hard/Heavy Rock band called LIFE TRAGIC. They combine the catchy melodies of the classic late 80s American Melodic Hard rock sound of bands like STRYPER and FIREHOUSE with some pretty heavy guitar riffs out of the big PANTERA Metalbook. The result is an exciting CD and like most other American bands, LIFE TRAGIC sounds very professional and right from the start we can enjoy their strong ambition to become the next big thing. That first song “Easy enough” is quite a terrific uptempo Melodic Hardrock piece with a catchy chorus and fans of MILLENIUM, TEER, TALON, KNOW ILLUSION and EMERALD RAIN are definitely going to love this. “Complications” is also a very good uptempo rockin’ piece and so are all 12 rockin’ tracks on their debut CD ‘Destiny, how are you?’. “Destiny, How Are You? is an entertaining album of post-grunge hard rock that - at times - emulates the band's influences just a touch too well. "Easy Enough" starts the album off with an overwhelmingly Velvet Revolver sound, particularly in the slightly sleazy tones of Tim Butler and Geoff Franz' riffs and leads. Throughout Destiny, How Are You?, Butler and Franz make it clear that they are connoisseurs of the Slash-meets-Jerry Cantrell school of guitar slinging. The song that stands above the rest as a uniquely Life Tragic song is, appropriately, "The Life Tragic". Comprised of extraterrestrial guitar effects, an upbeat mood, and gurgling/growling vocals, this song is the most experimental on the album and turns out to be the standout number - which is not often the case when a band attempts to push boundaries.”

Q: Do you guys have any original songs yet?

A: Our first album "Destiny, How Are You?", has 10 original songs. We're currently working on a new album of original material, and we'll be performing all original songs at Rock Fest 2012 in Cadott, WI with Five Finger Death Punch and Godsmack headlining. Thanks for asking!
