About
Out hip-hopper Lester Greene explodes onto the scene with his bold new CD, “No Bush, Straight Dicks.” “It’s time for people to respect gay artists and take us seriously,” says the German-born, Texas-bred New Yorker.
Influenced by the likes of Ludacris, 50 Cent, Kanye West & Eminem as well as fellow out-rappers Deadlee, Johnny Dangerous & Tori Fixx, Lester showcases extreme versatility with his rhymes. His metaphors cater to both the underground and the mainstream. In the club, on the streets or in the bedroom, Lester takes you on a lyrical roller coaster that will definitely leave you wanting more.
A self-proclaimed “people watcher,” Lester shares a bit about what makes him tick: “Hands and calf muscles.” He also adds, “You don’t have to be model-attractive… Just have great legs!” (Fire-fighters, policemen and other uniformed men of power, please step to the front of the line!) Lester knows exactly who he is and what he wants – and he makes no apologies.
His storytelling and delivery are on par with some of today’s most seasoned veterans. With an insight that goes well beyond his twenty-something years, Lester Greene is determined to take gay hip hop to the next level.
Lester has collaborated with UK rapper Chewy, Spanish group Unbounded, as well as German producers Q-Beatz & Esco Beatz, to name a few. In addition, his work has been featured on theshowsogay.com, thinkpinkradio.com, outhiphop.com, gorainbowradio.com, outmusicinsider.com; and is also featured in a gay hip-hop documentary on Holland Television. Recent performances include Pride Week 2008 at the Bronx Museum and at Rutgers University for “OurYouth Program,” a non-profit organization.
