About
Recorded late at night in a home studio...
I started recording music at home in 1992. It was in that venturous year that I discovered the great "Nebraska" album by Bruce Springsteen. I was amazed by the haunting quality of those songs, which Bruce recorded alone at home using a 4 track machine. Inspired by his solo effort, I started recording my own songs with the help of a few microphones and two tape recorders. I had been also inspired, of course, by the great "McCartney" album, by Paul McCartney, and all those stories of people recording at home with total freedom, experimentation and self-discovery. Through the years, and with different results, I have captured my music, sometimes playing all the instruments, sometimes accompanied by members of my former band, Los Monjes, and some friends, like Betty Dalle, who sings harmonies and plays tambourines here and there.
My main influences are The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp, and so I have been told. Here you will find some of the songs that I have written in the last few years. Some of them are quite old, from when I was a high school student in 1987, and some are recent. They have of course been re-recorded (at home) in the last months with a more professional equipment, but they keep the freshness and rough simplicity of those early demos.
I hope you enjoy them listening to them as much as I enjoyed doing them. Play them loud!
