“D-Rock, Bret, John B., Spag, Abby and Kamm-the-drummer-man collectively known as 'The Skinny' keep it hippie in Flint, MI. What canI say about these cats? They have all the great elements for a good time get up and dance band. With great grooves, soulful good vibes, on the edge of funk, I say it's Phish meets the Chilli Peppers, but with a groove that's like eating jam! I saw them live at the Redwood Lodge in Flint and to really appreciate them you've got to see them live.. a tight bottom end and a seasoned drummer with tasty fresh basslines keep it solid. Throw some bogos in the mix and you got a groove intertwined with vibes that will have you dancing. The vocals of John Asp keep the vibe postive and soulful, Bret on guitar strums and plucks the funk in the groove that brings it all together. They're one of the areas hottest live bands, afterall you have to heat jam 8 degrees over boiling to make it right!! If you get a chance to see them live do it, you won't be disappointed.”

“The Skinny: MI-based jam rock with enough wah-wah pedal for any Jerry Garcia fan. Sounds like: Earthy jam-infused rock, with a bit of blues”
