DANIELA CORSO & LEAH MUSCAT THE ACOUSTIC TOUR SPECIAL GUEST MZ WOOD FRIDAY JUNE 15TH FELIX BAR The girls are teaming up and taking it on the road! Daniela and Leah go way back and have been supporting eachother through their music for years, both persuing their dreams. Now they are wanting to share all the songs that they have written with you in a series of intimate evenings involving the beautiful sound of acoustic guitars and their voices. Stipped back raw and real. Daniela Corso accompanied by George Chris on guitar, the two have become a dynamic writing team over the past two years and are very excited to unleash their works on everyone. Daniela Corso, A Melbourne born singer/songwriter is no stranger to the stage. Recently performing at Federation Square for The Melbourne Breast Cancer Awareness Event, as well as numerous festivals, private and Corporate functions and various shows around Melbourne, including the prestigious Trak Lounge in Toorak. Daniela Corso has an energy that leaves any room buzzing. Her unique distinctive powerhouse vocals have often been described as a mixture of Anastacia & Melissa Etheridge, and her commitment to delivering an outstanding performance is unparalleled, with her raspy tones and big voice. Daniela has an Ep out titled “From You” and a video for the title track which has over 11,000 views on YouTube. Leah Muscat is a Melbourne based independent Australian singer songwriter who started writing songs at the tender age of 9. Her lyrics and her suburban edge grab you with a realness that triggers a raw emotion and somehow makes you feel that she has been following you around for the last ten years just so she can write a song that will make you cry the first time you hear it. You walk away humming her melody or churning through a memory of the people who have really touched your own heart. Then, when you think that the quiet husk in her voice is all about soft emotions, she rips into the next tune that could make you a bit scared that she’s about to rip the mask off that popular, pretentious girl you knew at school, who you kind of looked up to but didn’t really like and expose her frailties, innermost fears and the source of her pretention to the world. From country rock or an emotional melody, your time spent listening to her music will take you to all sorts of different places and leaves you waiting for the next one. Leah has been playing across Melbourne for years around many of Melbourne’s live venues and throughout regional Victoria. The release of her self titled EP is around the corner! **Supporting these ladies on the evening....** Madeleine Wood, kick-started her career in 2008 when she was selected as one of the support acts for rapper EVE on her National ‘Here I Am’ Australian tour. Those were Madeleine’s hip-hop/pop days. Madeleine’s wild purple hair and thigh high boots might draw you in, but it’s their joint talent, true musicianship and honest showman skills that keep you engaged an unavailable to the outside world for the whole duration on their show. MZ.WOOD’s two hit singles ‘Shanti’ and ‘Rest Room Walls’ are set for release September this year, with commercial radio airplay scheduled for both singles. MZ.WOOD has recorded tracks with some of Australia’s best known producers including The Calculators (Mushroom Publishing) who have credits such as Daniel Merriweather, Snog and The Spazzys. With Madeleine’s public profile rapidly expanding this young starlet has leapt from success to success within the Australian music industry. After performing shows across some of Melbourne’s best known and iconic venues there is no stopping her! ******************************************************* The girls are teaming up and taking it on the road! The release of her self titled EP is around the corner! **IDGAFF BAR SHOW MAY !13TH 6.30pm ** Supporting these ladies on the evening is Emily Meaker At just 20 years old Emily Meaker is captivating audiences wherever she plays, with a unique voice and guitar in hand, her music is taken from influences such as John Legend, Ray Charles, Missy Higgins and Florence and The Machine to name a few. Emily began seriously taking on songwriting at 16, arranging big band and jazz music as opposed to the alternative pop sound with elements of blues she has now. She spent high school and the start of university studying trombone and guitar and any instruments her family stopped playing but didn’t think about singing until 18 and despite her outgoing and witty personality her songs let you behind the curtains and give a honesty to her music and performances, often unseen in the pop culture. “I want the world to see and feel what I feel when I’m on stage, I’m a positive person and my music reflects the best and worst in all of us, I want to write music that not only makes people happy but lets them look at themselves in way they haven’t and see something possible that wasn’t there before.” Says Emily of her music
