There is a sense of fearlessness to the sounds and themes that is rare to find in an Australian band. Their energetic performances are influenced by some of the starkest, most danceable and lascivious music of last century. Jarman Donohue (Medical tech by day and jedi bass guitar wobbler by night) has come together with Matty O'Brien (scientist and jazz trained drummer) to produce a 100% live set built with the foundations of dubstep, glitch-hop and junglistic rhythms. The boys use a MIDI bass guitar and MIDI drums to control two laptops, allowing them to shape a sound free of pre-programming and done totally on the fly. Ank's musical journey began with “ Ziza ” a rock trio formed in 1997 in his native Mauritius. Their first album Blue, released in 2000 sold 25,000 copies, the band relocated to Melbourne, Australia in 2002, however we divided by personal differences in 2003. In 2004 while Ank was studying music at University , he discovered Melbourne's vibrant electronic music scene, becoming a regular at outdoor festivals and clubs. LazyboyProactive was formed in 2006, and hit the live scene, but it wasn't until an intense 10 months in a beach house studio on a remote island in 2009 for the sound to really take shape.
