By now LANE is an highly respected live act whose performance is set up to get the audience the maximum dose of rock'n'roll. In early 2007 the band released the first recording "Diced" on their own, with some support from Oli K. (ex-Kingdom Come) and Ralf Z. (backing vocals for Edguy).

HISTORY "Its a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll" sets the records straight for LANE. Back in 2004 as the band got together the majority of the people sniggered at them, telling them their kind of music was totally out. Of course LANE didn't care about what people said and kept on rocking. By now LANE is an highly respected live act whose performance is set up to get the audience the maximum dose of rock'n'roll. In early 2007 the band released the first recording "Diced" on their own, with some support from Oli K. (ex-Kingdom Come) and Ralf Z. (backing vocals for Edguy). The press response on "Diced" was very positive to say the least. Up the irons! LANE from Hessian Bad Hersfeld justify that they're set up for the "Melodic Rock Champions League" with "Diced". (Heavy 06/07) The german hard rock band is into first class melodic rock and "Diced" is a recording that could have been released by labels such as MTM Music or Frontiers Records. The cool cover, a solid production and great songs make this release go right into the eyes and ears. (my revelations 06/07) ...very recommendable to friends of melodic hard rock - the more so as the ambient is very professional. (Metal Hammer 02/08) So the course is set and LANE's master plan for 2008 is to rock every place that offers a stage and a power socket. So get up and join the party in a location near to you. It's only rock'n'roll but we like it.
LANE – Bandbio
MEDAZZAROCK (CH) - 30.09.2009 Gegründet wurde die Band im September vor 5 Jahren, damals noch als Spassband von Sänger Dirk Licht und Gitarrist Teo Todorov. Später kamen noch Schlagzeuger Ralf Niebert und Bassist Andy Sauer dazu. Natürlich kann man die Band nicht mehr als Spassband bezeichnen, sondern als gute deutsche Melodic Rock Formation. Das beweist schon alleine die Debüt-CD „Diced“. um die es hier geht. Unterstützung bekamen sie bei der Produktion noch von Olli Kiessner (ex- Kingdom Come) und Ralf Ziarsdek (Background-Stimme bei den bisherigen Edguy-CDs). Doch nun fangen wir mal mit dem Erstling der Bad Hersfelder (Bundesland Hessen) an. Was für ein Opener. dachte ich mir gleich schon beim ersten anhören der Scheibe. „Nighttalk“ erinnert mich irgendwie an Pink Cream 69. Geile Melodie und auch Sänger Dirk stellt sein Talent eindrücklich zur Schau. So kann es weitergehen. „Faith“ ist ein starker Melodic Rocker mit coolem Chorgesang. Jetzt müsst ihr euch aber festschnallen, denn es folgt die schmachtvolle Ballade „When Love Comes Around“. Also da bleibt sicher kein Feuerzeug aus. Ein Näschen für gute Melodien haben sie, das beweisen sie ganz eindeutig auch bei den ruhigeren Stücken. Etwas rockiger ist „Spirit In The Night“ bevor es wieder balladesk bei „All For Life“, welches erneut einen schönen Chorgesang hat. Die nächste Ballade folgt gleich darauf mit „Heaven“, jedoch mit etwas mehr Pep als bei der Ballade zuvor. Mit „Turn Me On“ hat es nochmals einen rockigeren Track mit einer coolen Melodie. Als Schlusspunkt hat die Band die Piano Version des Openers „Nighttalk“ gewählt. Nichts gegen die langsameren Lieder auf „Diced“, aber schnellere und rockigere wie der Opener hätten der CD durchaus gut getan. Doch die in Eigenregie produzierte Scheibe ist kein schlechtes Melodic Rock Werk geworden, sondern alles in allem empfehlenswert. Hört doch mal auf Myspace rein, dort hat es 3 Stücke zum Probe hören, leider fehlt dort jedoch der Opener. 6,9 Punkte (Patrick) - Forum
