HISTORY "Its a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll" sets the records straight for LANE. Back in 2004 as the band got together the majority of the people sniggered at them, telling them their kind of music was totally out. Of course LANE didn't care about what people said and kept on rocking. By now LANE is an highly respected live act whose performance is set up to get the audience the maximum dose of rock'n'roll. In early 2007 the band released the first recording "Diced" on their own, with some support from Oli K. (ex-Kingdom Come) and Ralf Z. (backing vocals for Edguy). The press response on "Diced" was very positive to say the least. Up the irons! LANE from Hessian Bad Hersfeld justify that they're set up for the "Melodic Rock Champions League" with "Diced". (Heavy 06/07) The german hard rock band is into first class melodic rock and "Diced" is a recording that could have been released by labels such as MTM Music or Frontiers Records. The cool cover, a solid production and great songs make this release go right into the eyes and ears. (my revelations 06/07) ...very recommendable to friends of melodic hard rock - the more so as the ambient is very professional. (Metal Hammer 02/08) So the course is set and LANE's master plan for 2008 is to rock every place that offers a stage and a power socket. So get up and join the party in a location near to you. It's only rock'n'roll but we like it.

“It´s a long way to the top if you wanna rock´n roll” – das bringt es so ziemlich genau auf den Punkt. Kurz nach der Gründung 2004 noch von den meisten so genannten Szenekennern nur belächelt, da man „mit dieser Art Musik“ ja keinen Hering mehr vom Teller ziehen kann, entwickelten sich LANE trotzdem zu einem live durch eine professionelle Vielseitigkeit und Performance überzeugenden Rockact. Anfang 2007 wurde die erste CD „Diced“, noch in Eigenregie, mit Unterstützung von Oli K. (Ex-Kingdom Come) und Ralf Z. (Backing Vocs auf allen Edguy CDs) aufgenommen und heimste durchgehend gute bis sehr gute Kritiken ein.

• Hut ab! Was LANE aus dem hessischen Bad Hersfeld auf ihrem Einstand (?) Diced`fabrizieren, darf mit Fug und Recht als „ reif für die Melodic Rock Champions League“ bezeichnet werden. (Heavy 06/07)

• Vom Stil her orientiert sich LANE an amerikanischen Rockgrößen wie Aerosmith und Bon Jovi. (wildwechsel )
• Die vier Herren aus Bad Hersfeld haben sich einem Hard Rock verschrieben, der am ehesten der Karlsruher Multi-Kulti-Truppe von Pink Cream 69 Konkurrenz macht. Oft wird das Material von knackigen Lead-Gitarren auf Härte getrimmt, weist aber auch kommerzielle Elemente à la Bon Jovi und Def Leppard auf, beziehungsweise erinnert in ruhigen (balladesken) Momenten an Axel Rudi Pell und sein Ensemble. Für Freunde des melodischen Hard Rocks auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert – zumal das gesamte Ambiente einer hochgradig professionellen Eindruck hinterlässt.

Die Band überzeugt live durch eine professionelle Vielseitigkeit und Performance, wobei die eigenen Stücke geschickt mit Coversongs von Queen, Gotthard, ABBA, Deep Purple u.a. zu einem homogenen Ganzen verbunden werden. Die Weichen sind also gestellt und LANE haben sich für 2008 vorgenommen überall da, wo eine Steckdose und eine Bühne ist, zu spielen. Also, kommen, hören, mitfeiern - It´s only rock´n roll but we like it.
