About

Rather than hunting down a label that would screw him out of hard-earned royalties, musician Aaron Tom went a different route...he started one himself.  The end result is Toxic Highway Recordings (THR), a label that releases all four of the musical projects that Aaron is a part of.  THR is unique in many different ways, most notably in the way it is run:  The label's guiding principle is to create original, high-quality musical works, while simultaneously keeping recording and advertising costs to a bare minimum.  This means Toxic Highway can provide their albums at a much lower cost than the greedy major labels.

Though the world is already overpopulated with shitty bands trying to push their product on unsuspecting people, Toxic Highway's creative approach just may be the deciding factor to push the label into the public's eye.  That, and their decision to fully realize, and utilize, the neverending formation of new technology.  Rather than using the latest copyright-protection software, or spending thousands to be featured on television or in radio ads, the label limits a majority of their advertising to social networking sites, and other forms of free communication.

Even if it fails, founder/president Aaron Tom remains optimistic.  "It's a hobby," he stated.  "Yeah, it'd definitely be nice to get paid for something I love doing, which would allow me much more time to focus on promoting the albums once I complete them.  But it really doesn't matter.  Whether I earn zero dollars, or a million, I will continue to make music the only way it should be made:  From the heart."
