“We recognize that being a part of a community is one of the single most important factors in developing new artists today.” says Brian Thompson, Managing Partner of Thorny Bleeder Records.  “Our goal is to create an online destination for rock fans to get turned on to new music.  With the demise of record stores, music fans are finding it hard to replace their local music shop as a trusted resource to discover new music.  The Bleeder Blog and our unique artist collective is here to help.”

Thorny Bleeder Records has also launched a new Artist Services division.  “We’re a new kind of 'Record Label Replacement Company',” Brian jokes, “offering a range of services to replace the old-fashioned style of a record deal.  We’re here to help new bands have their music heard by the public, without having to wait and be discovered by the increasingly tight and inward looking circles of the music industry.”

Thorny Bleeder Records provides the tools necessary for artists to level the playing field in today’s competitive music market.  For a range of low fees, artists can have Thorny Bleeder handle everything that a traditional label would normally take care of.  Artists are able to select from a menu of individual services such as management, distribution, consultation, radio promotion, publicity, song licensing, grant applications, merchandise management, website development, online marketing, duplication, video editing, and EPK production.

Thorny Bleeder Records was formed by Jonathan Hetherington, Greg Bradley (founders of Art Of Dying) and Brian Thompson in 2006.

With over 45 years combined experience, Thorny Bleeder Records operates as an artist development label helping bands establish and grow their profile both domestically and internationally.

Thorny Bleeder Records is distributed by Conveyor Canada/Universal Music, with additional territories being added to their distribution in 2009.
