Summer Rain Recordings is a record label with a difference. Every artist signed to the label donates a minimum of 5% of their royalties for every release to NextAid, or a charity of their choice, and the label matches their percentage donation from the label profits from the release.

ioda, our distributor, also donate 25% of their fees for each of our releases to next aid too.

Summer Rain Recordings was born in the summer of 2007, and is set to grow in strength and popularity over the coming 12 months, as well as a fine selection of fresh new music from new artists, you will find guest releases from more established artists who wish to give something back in the form of royalty donations to charity.

The label is quite diverse, and covers many electronic genres including IDM, downtemp, breaks, glitch, progressive house, house, electro, and many more.

Summer Rain also provide a release/distribution service to artists wishing to remain independent of a label, and distribute their release for them to over 300 online retailers including itunes, Beatport, etc.

In addition to this, we also provide a managed release service for companies and organisations that wish to release a compilation or promotional album as a supplemental activity to their business. Where the proceeds of such a release are 100% charitable, Summer Rain provide this service free of charge – the organisation only pay the cost of distribution – no label profit is involved.

We are not about greedy profits, unfair contracts, fame and fortune, we are about excellent music, honesty, fairness, and giving something back to the world in which we live in.
